Ronnie James Dio a rejoint Black Sabbath pour l'album platine de 1980, Heaven And Hell. Lorsque Dio a reformé le groupe avec Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler et Vinny Appice de Black Sabbath entre 2007 et 2009, ils l'ont fait sous le nom de Heaven & Hell. Ils ont sorti les albums live Live at Radio City Music Hall en 2007 et Neon Knights Live at Wacken en 2009, ainsi que leur seul album studio The Devil You Know en 2009. Ces enregistrements sont maintenant rassemblés sous le titre Breaking Out Of Heaven 2007-2009 dans un coffret de 7 LP, comprenant l'intégralité des concerts susmentionnés. Ce sont les derniers enregistrements réalisés par Ronnie James Dio avant son triste décès en 2010, et ils représentent un testament approprié à la musique qu'il a créée avec Black Sabbath, avec des titres de Heaven And Hell, Mob Rules, Dehumanizer et The Dio Years.
