Stax Records et Craft Recordings ont publié cette nouvelle collection de fêtes de 12 titres, Stax Christmas. L'album présente certains des plus grands noms de l'histoire du label sacré, notamment Booker T. & the M.G.'s, Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes et les Staple Singers, avec un certain nombre de raretés, dont deux sont des enregistrements inédits : une interprétation époustouflante du "Blue Christmas" intemporel de Billy Hayes et Jay W. Johnson par Carla Thomas, et un mix alternatif de l'interprétation très appréciée de "Merry Christmas Baby" par Redding.
