About Us
Flip Side Music and More is an independently owned record shop in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded in 2018 by Doug and Melisa Jones, the shop was born out of a simple need: better access to great music on the island.
What started as a small operation importing hard-to-find titles has evolved into a full-scale hybrid webshop and physical storefront. You can find us:
Online: Shipping across Canada and beyond.
In-Person: At our CBS shop (by appointment) or various local pop-up markets.

Our inventory is curated with a focus on quality over quantity. Because we are a small shop, our stock changes daily based on what’s available globally.

Used Vinyl: Our pre-loved section moves fast. Send us your wantlist and we’ll keep an eye out. We might even have a copy in the back that hasn't hit the shelves yet! Please note: All used vinyl is final sale.
Selling Your Records: We are always buying collections, large and small. Contact us with a brief description of what you have, and we’ll arrange a time to take a look. We pride ourselves on offering fair value for quality wax.
Special Orders & Pre-Orders
Special Orders
If a title is in stock with our suppliers, we can add it to our next regular shipment.
Payment: Special orders are pre-pay only.
Timelines: For backordered items, we provide updates as soon as we hear from our suppliers.
Refunds: Special orders are final sale and non-refundable unless the item is defective.
Pre-Orders
Pre-orders are available on select titles. Reservation of pre-order titles will be secured upon receipt of payment.
Once submitted, pre-orders are not eligible for refund unless defective.
Shipping: To keep shipping costs low, we do not split orders. If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the entire package will ship once the final pre-order item arrives.
Delays: Release dates are set by labels and manufacturers. While we strive to get music to you by release day, manufacturing delays are out of our control.
Allocations: In the event of a short ship (where we receive fewer copies than ordered), we will fulfill orders chronologically and issue full refunds for any we cannot fulfill.
Payments & Pricing
Pricing Policy
All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are non-negotiable.
Price Matches: We do not offer price matching or retroactive price adjustments (including during limited-time promotions).
Errors: We reserve the right to cancel orders resulting from a technical pricing error on the site.
EMT Payments (Canada Only)
We are happy to accept Electronic Money Transfers.

Deadline: Payment must be received within 5 days of your order, or the items will be returned to stock and the order cancelled.
Order Integrity & Promotions
To keep things fair for our entire community, we monitor for promotional abuse and fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to cancel orders or suspend accounts involving:
Creating multiple accounts to bypass "one-time-use" coupons.
Using bots, scripts, or VPNs to circumvent store restrictions.
Sharing non-transferable codes or engaging in refund fraud.
In these cases, refunds may be issued as store credit only, and accounts may be permanently closed.
