About Us
Flip Side Music and More is an independently owned and operated record shop based in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland Labrador, Canada.Ā 

We're Doug and Melisa Jones, lifelong music lovers and record collectors.
We found ourselves unable to obtain a lot of the titles we were looking for on the island. In chatting with friends in our local vinyl community, we found we weren't the only ones. Out of these conversations, Flip Side was born.

In 2018 we started bringing in titles from Europe, Japan, etc and have slowly expanded the shop into what you see today.

Flip Side is a hybrid webshop, physical shop, and we also do various in person popups and markets in the local area. We're also the organizers of one of the largest vinyl events in Atlantic Canada,Ā Record Fair NL

Catalog and New Stock
Our stock is constantly changing depending on what isĀ available to us. We are a small business that is focused on quality inventory over quantity, but we are always happy to bring in items for customers. If you don't see it,Ā just ask!Ā Click Here to Contact Us.

Special Orders
Titles in stock at our suppliers can be added to our regular shipments and are prepay only.
For back ordered titles we are unable provide a ship date until we receive notification from the supplier. The customer will be notified whether items are in stock or back ordered, and updated on any changes in status.

Pre-Orders
Pre-orders are available on select titles. Reservation of pre-order titles will be secured upon receipt of payment.

The scheduled release date of all pre-order items will be listed on the details page. Unfortunately, due to manufacturing and supplier delays, this date is subject to change and out of our control. We make every effort get pre-order titles to customers on or before release day however we cannot guarantee a delivery date.

If there are in stock titles and pre-order titles in the same order, the order will ship when all items are available. We do not split orders.

If we do not receive enough stock to fill all pre-orders we reserve the right to cancel and refund an order.

Pricing Policy
Prices are subject to change without notice and are quoted in Canadian dollars. Prices are non-negotiable.

We do not match or offer discounts based on another retailerā€™s price.

We do not offer price adjustments regardless of when a purchase was made. This includes any and all promotions intended for a limited time.

We reserve the right to cancel any order due to a pricing error on the site.

EMT Policy
We offer Electronic Money Transfer (EMT) as a payment option for our Canadian customers. EMT payments must be completed manually through your bank. Please use flipsidenl@gmail.com as the contact email.

Please note: EMT payments must be received within 5 days of order confirmation. Should payment not be received within this timeframe, the order will be cancelled.

Order Cancellation & Promotion Abuse
We reserve the right to cancel any order or suspend any account that we suspect, in our sole discretion, has engaged in promotional abuse or fraudulent activity. Promotional abuse includes, but is not limited to:
  • Creating multiple accounts to repeatedly claim new customer or sign-up bonuses.
  • Using automated scripts or bots to generate or redeem promo codes.
  • Sharing unique, non-transferable codes publicly online.
  • Applying multiple discount codes to a single order in violation of "one-time-use" or "no stacking" terms.
  • Circumventing location or eligibility restrictions using methods such as VPNs or proxy servers.
  • Purchasing items with a promotion and returning them later to receive a full refund while keeping the promotional benefit (refund fraud).
In cases of suspected abuse, we may, at our discretion, cancel pending orders, issue refunds as store credit only, or permanently ban the associated user accounts from our platform.

Used Vinyl
Our used vinyl stock is constantly changing with limited availability. If there are titles youā€™d like us to watch out for, send us your want list. We may even have a copy that hasn't been put out yet.Ā Please be advised that used vinyl is final sale.

Selling Your Records To Us
We buy records, but we don't buy all records.Ā Contact Us and give us an ideaĀ of what you have and we'll arrange a time to examine your collection. We offer fair value for collections of all sizes.
