"Stormtroopers Of Death," also known as S.O.D., released their debut album "Speak English Or Die" in 1985. This groundbreaking crossover thrash album quickly became a cult classic within the metal community. The record is known for its aggressive blend of hardcore punk and thrash metal, characterized by its fast-paced rhythms and politically incorrect humor. Among the tracks on the album are the relentless "March of the S.O.D.," the provocative title track "Speak English Or Die," and the mosh-pit anthem "Milano Mosh." Other notable songs include "Kill Yourself," "United Forces," which calls for unity in the punk and metal scenes, and "Chromatic Death." The album also features the brief but intense "Anti-Procrastination Song" and pays homage to a horror icon with "Freddy Krueger." Despite its controversial content, "Speak English Or Die" has left an indelible mark on the metal genre and continues to influence bands to this day.
