Simani - The Christmas Sessions

Cat Herder Productions have teamed up with one of Newfoundland’s Legends—Bud Davidge with Simani, to produce a Christmas compilation album. A must have for all Christmas and Newfoundland music lovers!

Simani formed in 1977 by Bud Davidge (vocals) and the late Sim Savory (multiple instruments, sound engineering) in Belleoram, Fortune Bay.

They are best known for their folk sound, which incorporated Celtic, English, and French influences. Their music often put local stories and traditions to song.
Throughout their career, Simani received several accolades, including the East Coast Music Association's Stompin' Tom Award in 2002 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (MusicNL) in 2008. Bud Davidge was also made a Member of the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2024
